Beauty

Sky so blue, stone so gray, the wind in my face, the sun in her hair, eyes of brown, skin the same.  A smile a glance, the spray of a waterfall in the air.  The sound of the whims of the world fill my mind, warm from my soul, seeing not with my eyes but with all that I feel and all that I am.

Desire

Falling into the warmth of the heart, a tear fills my thoughts, the pressure behind my eyes. Emotion to emotion, confusion fills my heart, pieces still together but dying to scramble to the far corners of the island that is my love.  Striving to be the one that will ache for yet another that will bring me to the extremes that I desire.

Nature

In my heart are the experiences of the outdoors. Sights, smells and textures unequaled in the manufactured world. All that’s’ created cannot compare to one creature of the wild. Raised on experiences that happen because of a will of survival. Awakened by the light of the morning, meal provided by its’ own ability. Inner strength from the creation of its’ own world. Growing up knowing that it is all it cares to be in a place full of wonders.

Whisper

The whisper In the wind holds comfort for those that listen to its’ sweet sound. A song for those that have hearts, pure. Secrets of the magic that is love and romance. To listen and understand would allow passion beyond belief and pleasures that few know or could even understand. She speaks to me and I listen. Taking what I learn and sharing it with those that care to be, part of me.

Age

The distance we travel shows in the lines on our face, the shades of gray that we wear   and the twinkle in our eye when we see that, that knows no pain, that fears no evil and
holds the wonders of all that is possible in the palm of its' hand.

The Awakening

We awoke to the phone, a neighbor, a roommate, begging us to get up to see it.  We woke up and turned on the TV not knowing what we would find and expecting the norm, Good Morning America, local news or cartoons.  We found an emptiness that seemed to go on forever, a dark place full of emotions of which we weren't ware.  We woke to a new reality, one with it's own climate.  Thousands left behind with the morning, but not left behind in our hearts.  We woke up the next day and put our pants on one leg at a time,  brushed our teeth, took our showers and trudged on knowing that it would be hard but knowing that if we didn't that they would win.  We go on, like we always have.  We want a better tomorrow for yesterday is just that, yesterday.  We can't change what happened but we can help to create a better tomorrow.
